Jaipur, June 9. Tata Power Solar, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Tata Power, has commissioned a 450 megawatt (MWDC) solar power plant for Brookfield Renewable India in Rajasthan. The EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) based project has been completed within a record seven months, the company said in a statement on Thursday.

According to the information, this project will generate 8,00,000 MWh of green electricity annually and reduce carbon emissions by 6,00,000 tonnes annually.

Dr. Praveer Sinha, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Managing Director, Tata Power said, “We have commissioned a solar plant for Brookfield Renewables India in Rajasthan in record time. This project not only reflects our commitment towards promoting sustainable energy adoption but also strengthens our position as a leading EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) company in the country.”

With this solar plant, the installed capacity of the company’s grid-connected solar projects has reached 9,700 MW (peak).
