BRS President and Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao is set to focus on expanding the party’s operations to other states soon after the budget session of the Telangana state assembly, beginning on February 3. Prominent among these are Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka, where many former, sitting MLAs and MPs are in touch with the party leadership.

Andhra Pradesh is the first state to have a single entity with a state head in the form of Thota Chandrasekhar. Sources said Chandrasekhar, former minister Ravela Kishore Babu and others who joined the party recently have started touring the state. It is being told that the party president has chalked out a strategy to increase the mass base and these leaders have intensified their efforts in this regard to reach out to more and more leaders and to attract the attention of the people.

Sources said Thota Chandrasekhar has called a meeting, which was attended by several Kapu leaders, including two former Congress ministers. It is believed that a sitting TDP MLA has also shown interest in it. BRS Andhra Pradesh President had already announced that K. Chandrasekhar Rao will address a huge public meeting to be held in Visakhapatnam within the next two months. Many leaders are expected to join the BRS in this meeting.
