In Telangana, the K Chandrasekhar Rao government has launched the second phase of its popular Kanti Velugu scheme. This scheme has been launched in all 33 districts of the state. During this, mass eye check-up camps have been organized for ministers, MPs, MLAs and elected public representatives across the state. Along with this, free eye check-up of about 1.5 crore people will be done in every gram panchayats and municipal wards of the state for the next 100 days. The biggest thing is that under this program there is a system to provide free spectacles along with free medicines to the beneficiaries.

Second phase of Telangana Kanti Velugu scheme launched
In fact, the second phase of the Kanti Velugu scheme was formally launched by Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao from Khammam district on Wednesday itself. During this, he also inaugurated a new District Collectorate Complex in Khammam. It was a very mega event, which was also attended by Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. Leaders of many other states were also invited for this program.

‘Kanti Velugu Yojana became a role model for the whole country’
Later on Thursday, an eye camp was inaugurated by State Health Minister T Harish Rao and Animal Husbandry Minister T Srinivasa Yadav in Ameerpet area of ​​Hyderabad in a program related to the Kanti Velugu scheme. Speaking on the occasion, Harish Rao said that the goal of this program is to make Telangana blind-free. The ministers also distributed spectacles to the beneficiaries on the occasion. Rao said that Kanti Velugu has now become a role model for the whole country.

According to him, it is a matter of great pride for Telangana that Chief Ministers of other states also came to see Kanti Velugu being implemented and understood it themselves. From here they will be able to implement such a plan in their respective states as well. There are many public welfare schemes of the KCR government, which are said to be very popular among the people. Among them Kanti Velugu Yojana is considered very popular and successful.
