BC Welfare and Civil Supplies Minister, Gangula Kamalakar said that Karimnagar Medical College will start operations with MBBS admission of 100 students during this academic year (2023-2024).

Hyderabad, December 7: The Minister for BC Welfare and Civil Supplies, Gangula Kamalakar said that Karimnagar Medical College will start operations with MBBS admission of 100 students during this academic year (2023-2024). Medical Education Minister and Director Ramesh Reddy on Tuesday visited the site earmarked for the medical college at the seed processing facility near Kothapalli on the outskirts of Karimnagar town.

Speaking on the occasion, Kamalakar informed the gathering that the government has allotted 25 acres of land for the medical college at Kothapalli seed processing unit. Initially the classes will run in the temporary rooms and later in the permanent buildings after the completion of the construction. Recently a 500 bedded hospital was also made available in Karimnagar town.
