HYDERABAD: In a bid to sell investment opportunities in Telangana, state IT and Industries Minister KT Rama Rao in Mumbai on Thursday invited the Jindal Group to set up a steel plant at Bayyaram.
Keeping in mind the aerospace and defense eco system in Telangana, Industries Minister KTR also urged the Tata Group to open a Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) centre. KTR will soon lead the Telangana delegation to the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos from January 16.
During his meetings with heads of various corporate companies, Minister KTR urged the management to expand their operations in the state with special focus on setting up new units in Tier II towns and cities. During KTR’s visit to Mumbai on Thursday, he met corporate heads including Tata Group Chairman Natarajan Chandrasekaran, Jindal Group Chairman and Managing Director Sajjan Jindal and Hindustan Unilever Ltd Managing Director Sanjiv Mehta.
Giving details about Tata Group’s operations in Telangana, KTR suggested sector-wise possibilities to further expand their operations. Considering the industry friendly policies of Telangana, KTR urged Tata Group to invest more in various sectors.
