Hyderabad, October 4: The flagship program of the Telangana government, Mission Bhagiratha, was on Sunday given a national honor for providing regular water to the residents of the state. The Union Ministry of Jal Shakti claimed in a statement that the National Jal Jeevan Mission (NJJM) award to the Telangana government was announced on Friday. According to the ministers, this was a confirmation of the success of ‘Mission Bhagiratha’ in the state.
However, they were designated only for regular water supply to rural households. “Government of India has awarded Telangana first prize among States and Union Territories in the country for providing regular adequate and potable water supply to rural households through Mission Bhagiratha. The state has been awarded the ‘Regularity’ category.
