Hyderabad, Nov 24 – A case has been registered against Ramachandra Bharti, a BJP affiliate arrested in the MLA horse-trading case, for allegedly obtaining passport illegally by submitting fraudulently obtained documents. During the investigation, the Special Investigation Team (SIT), set up to probe the case of poaching of TRS MLAs, found copies of a passport with Ramchandra Bharti’s photo in the laptop seized from him, which had a different name.
The name of the passport has been told as Kumar Sharma, a resident of Karnataka. He lodged a complaint with the Banjara Hills police. A case has been registered under various sections of the IPC and the Indian Passport Act. On November 8, the Banjara Hills police booked Ramchandra Bharti, one of the three suspects arrested in the MLA poaching case, for allegedly cheating people for possessing multiple Aadhaar and PAN identity cards.
