The Telangana government has deposited Rs 687.89 crore in the bank accounts of 5.49 lakh farmers on Friday, the third day of Rythu Bandhu distribution. The agriculture investment assistance of Rs 687.89 crore extended under the Rythu Bandhu scheme will cover 13.75 lakh acres in the state.
There was a time when farmers had to wander from door to door and take the help of inputs to do farming. Agriculture Minister S Niranjan Reddy said that now with Telangana government extending Rythu Bandhu, the confidence of farmers in the state has increased manifold. In a statement issued here on Friday, the Agriculture Minister said that there were no Rythu Bandhu, Rythu Bima, Kalyana Lakshmi, KCR Kit, Mission Kakatiya and Mission Bhagiratha programs before the formation of Telangana.
Agriculture Minister S. Niranjan Reddy said that effective implementation of these programs has benefited various sections of the state. On the contrary, the opposition parties, who turned a blind eye to these welfare and development programmes, are constantly making comments on the Telangana government. He said that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao had not made any promises about these welfare and development programs during elections or mentioned in Bharat Rashtra Samithi’s manifesto, but still he is constantly thinking for the people of the state and are working. He said that people have faith in the leadership of the Chief Minister.
