On the occasion of Subhash Chandra Bose’s birth anniversary, Union Minister Anurag Thakur remembered him and said that the British were afraid of him. During the program organized in Kolkata on Sunday, Anurag Thakur said that Netaji left the Indian Civil Service so that he could join the freedom movement and stand against the British. Anurag Thakur said that ICS service is at par with today’s IAS service. But he left it and took part in the freedom struggle.
Anurag Thakur said that Netaji left the ICS and threw himself into the freedom struggle of the country. Netaji stood alone against the British. The British used to say that they are not afraid of Mahatma Gandhi but are afraid of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. The soil of Bengal produced many freedom fighters, that is why the British had to leave Bengal and go to Delhi. Anurag Thakur appealed to the youth to understand their responsibility and stand against those who are trying to kill democracy.
The Union Minister said that many freedom fighters were born on this earth. If you can free this land from Britishers then you can also free this land from those people who are killing democracy. You have to save the name of Bengal. It is worth noting that today is the 126th birth anniversary of Subhash Chandra Bose. Subhash Chandra Bose had made a very important contribution in the country’s freedom movement.
