Whoever got attached to the film died
The reason for this film never being completed is that the people associated with it die and the film hangs in the balance. It is said that any actor who read the script from the perspective of playing the role of a hero in this film died. You may not believe this but it is absolutely true. You are also feeling that this may be a coincidence… Initially people also thought it to be just a coincidence, but when not one or two but six actors died one after the other, it became a part of the film. The mere mention of becoming made people’s hands and feet swell. Nobody wanted to be a part of this film. So this film was never made.
The film is based on Canadian folk songs
The story of the film is based on a folk song. According to this Canadian folk song, a beautiful girl comes to visit the hills of Alaska. Then there his girl meets a young man from Alaska. On seeing that girl, he falls in love with her. When she leaves for her home, the young man sneaks into the girl’s car and heads to New York City. Gradually, living in America, on the strength of his hard work, he becomes a big man. He starts being counted among the famous people of the city. But that girl does not get him and eventually the boy becomes so madly in love with that girl that he loses everything and dies.
1963 novel on folklore
According to the ‘New York Post’, a novel was also written on this folk song in 1963, which was named ‘The Incomparable Atook’. The novel was written by Mordecai Richler. In 1977, Canadian film director Norman Javison asked then-famous scriptwriter Todd Carroll to script the film on this novel. Todd took 2 years to prepare the script of this film. The script of the film was finalized in 1979, but the scary story related to it was to begin now.
Actor John Belushi became the first victim, then Sam died
Comedian actor John Belushi was first chosen in the hero’s room in the film. He was given the script to read. He agreed to play the main character i.e. Attuk in the film. But the film could not start as John Belushi was found dead of a drug overdose in a hotel room a few days later. After 8 years in 1987, another comedian actor Sam Kinison was selected for this role. Before Sam could act in the film, he was killed in a serious car accident.
The chain of deaths did not stop
There had been two deaths so far. People started feeling that it may or may not be a victim of some bad luck. Although no one called it cursed even then. Four years later, in 1993, John Candy was cast for the role of Atook in the film. John was found dead in a hotel room even before shooting for the role of Atook. The cause of his death was stated to be cardiac arrest. The script of this film was given to John Candy by a man named Michael O’Donoghy. Donogi was the person who gave this script to Belushi as well.
Whoever read the script died
It is believed that Michael O’Donoghy also read the script several times. In such a situation, he came under the curse of Scrit and he also died. Now people started believing that there is a flaw in the script of this film. So far four people have read the script of this film, all have died. So why not change the script itself. The script was then modified and given to actors Chris Farley and Phil Hartman to read. Both had died under suspicious circumstances.
Original script is missing
After these deaths, everyone now believed that it was a cursed script. Whoever reads this is bound to die. According to the ‘New York Post’, for this reason this film project was shelved forever. Also, its original script has been hidden in a secret place so that no one else can fall prey to this cursed script. Although the copy of this script is still present on the internet, but no one has any idea about where the original script was hidden.
