These include land on the right side of the main road while going from Railway Chowk to IT Park, vacant land on the middle road towards Manimajra in front of Kalagram and vacant land near Rajiv Gandhi IT Park.

It is noteworthy that after the intervention of the Center, the Chandigarh Administration has agreed to give land to Haryana for a separate assembly building in addition to the existing building. On Saturday, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and Haryana Vidhan Sabha Speaker Gyan Chand Gupta will visit the above three places. Officials of Haryana Government and Chandigarh Administration will also be present with them.

Haryana had requested the central government to provide 10 acres of land for its new assembly complex about 9 months ago. In this context, Chief Minister Khattar wrote a letter to Union Home Minister Amit Shah. It was said that in the proposed delimitation for the year 2026, the number of MLAs in Haryana could be 126. In the 55 years of Haryana, till now it has not got the fixed share according to the division of the assembly building. Punjab has illegally occupied a large part of the Haryana Legislative Assembly.

At the same time, it was said that about 350 employees are serving in the Haryana Vidhan Sabha Secretariat, but there is not enough space for them to sit. Three to four shakhas have been accommodated in a room in the Vidhan Sabha and seating arrangements have to be made for 7-7 first class officers by making cabins in some rooms. It has become necessary to allot sufficient space for the construction of a new building in addition to the existing building of Haryana Vidhan Sabha. There was a demand to make available at least 10 acres of land for the new Haryana Vidhan Sabha Complex.
