Chandigarh. Haryana is trying to keep history alive through the red road of Hansi city. This road, about 2.5 km long from Ambedkar Chowk to Dudal Park, will be painted red, the construction work of which will cost Rs 4 crore. About 150 meters of the road will be red in colour. On Monday, MLA Vinod Bhayana inaugurated the construction work.
The MLA said that many revolutionaries like Lala Hukam Chand Jain, Fakir Chand Jain, Nanda Jat, Roopram Khati, Munir Baig had sacrificed their lives for the freedom of the country in 1857. Many revolutionaries were crushed by the British government with road rollers on this road, due to which this road became red with the blood of patriots. Later this road came to be known as Red Road. In the memory of such immortal patriots knowingly or unknowingly, this road is being made red in colour. Its main objective is to make every person aware of the glorious history of this road.
This road will be made red in color for 150 meters from the martyr memorial to the old vegetable market. This road will be constructed from Ambedkar Chowk to Dudal Park. An amount of Rs 4 crore will be spent on the construction work of this road of about 2.5 km length.
