The Subordinate Services Selection Commission has decided to cancel the examination for the graduate level, forest inspector, secretariat guard posts and conduct it again. Commission has given clean chit to LT recruitment after taking legal opinion.
Taking a major decision, the Subordinate Services Selection Commission, embroiled in controversies since the UKSSSC paper leak case surfaced in Uttarakhand, has canceled three recruitments. Three recruitments graduate level examination, forest inspector and secretariat guard recruitment have been cancelled. Now there will be a written examination again in March 2023 for these recruitments of 1282 posts. In this, the candidates who have given the exam earlier will be given a chance. New candidates will not get a chance to apply. The commission has sought legal opinion from the government on seven recruitments. After getting permission, the commission will take a decision on these recruitments.
More than four hundred candidates will be banned in recruitment
In paper leak, more than four hundred candidates will be banned in the recruitment of the commission. On seven other recruitments, the commission has sought legal opinion from the government. Apart from this, on the basis of the report of the expert committee, the Assistant Teacher LT recruitment has been given a clean chit. From January 9, 2023, the verification of the documents of the selected candidates in the written examination will be started.
An expert committee was constituted to investigate eight recruitments including LT
GS Mertolia, chairman of the Subordinate Services Selection Commission, said that the STF formed to investigate the recruitments found that the candidates were made to cheat by leaking the paper before the examination. On this, the commission has decided to cancel the examination for graduate level, forest inspector, secretariat guard posts and conduct it again. The commission had constituted an expert committee under the chairmanship of former IAS SS Rawat to investigate eight recruitments including LT. After submitting the report of the committee, the commission has given clean chit to LT recruitment after taking legal opinion.
131 candidates found involved in paper leak and copying in graduate level recruitment examination
According to the commission, 131 candidates were found involved in paper leak and copying in the graduate level recruitment examination. While there are 80 candidates whose address is wrong. Similarly, there is an estimate of direct and indirect involvement of about 150 candidates in Forest Inspector recruitment. Its investigation is going on. In the secretariat guard recruitment, 12 candidates were found involved in copying, while 20 candidates are being questioned. The result of the examination of four vacancies has not been declared.
The Subordinate Services Selection Commission had conducted the test for LT, Junior Assistant, Personal Assistant, Police Rankers, Vehicle Driver, Workshop Instructor, Fisheries Inspector, Head Constable Police Telecom recruitment. After investigation, the committee submitted the report to the commission. The commission has issued a notification to verify the documents of the candidates selected in merit from January 9, 2023, by giving a clean chit if no irregularities were found in the LT recruitment examination.
The commission sought legal opinion from the government on these recruitments.
Along with handing over the investigation of the paper leak case to the STF, the government amended the Act and handed over 23 UKSSSC recruitments to the Public Service Commission. These include seven recruitments of Junior Assistant, Personal Assistant, Police Rankers, Vehicle Driver, Workshop Instructor, Fisheries Inspector, Chief Constable Police Telecom Recruitment. The commission has sought legal opinion from the government on these recruitments. After getting permission, the commission will take a decision on these recruitments.
