Chandigarh, 6 June 2022. After the murder of Sidhu Musewala, the political temperature in Punjab has gone up. The Mann government has restored VIP security. Now the politics has heated up on the call for arms training to Sikh youth. In this episode, Punjab Congress President Amarinder Singh Raja Wading has condemned the call by Giani Harpreet Singh, Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, to once again provide arms training to Sikh youth. Amarinder Singh Raja Vading said what message the Jathedar is trying to give to the world and the Sikh community in particular.

Punjab Congress President Amarinder Singh Raja Vading while talking to the Jathedar said that your temptation to give arms in the hands of Sikhs is different from the thinking of being united. He asked the Jathedar whether you are advocating arms training for all or are you advocating training only for Sikhs. Wouldn’t this create a sense of insecurity and mistrust in others?

State Congress President Amarinder Singh Raja Vading said that it would not be good for Punjab. The advice to give arms training to Sikhs cannot be given at a wrong time when Punjab is mourning the death of its eminent singer Sidhu Musewala. Sidhu Musewala was targeted by the bullets of criminals at the young age of just 28. Raja Vading told the Jathedar that this wrong advice regarding training of your weapons cannot be given at such a wrong time. Right now Punjab is mourning the loss of one of its best son Musewala and you are asking for arms training.

Amarinder Singh Raja Vading has appealed to them that instead of propagating arms training, one should spread the message of peace, which Sikhism reflects and not violence, because training the youth with modern weapons will only lead to violence. Or you should tell us what is the purpose of such training.
