Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thakar has targeted the BJP over the Nupur Sharma controversy. Uddhav Thackeray was addressing a public meeting in Sambhajinagar on Wednesday. During this, he gave his reaction regarding the Nupur Sharma controversy. Uddhav Thackeray said that the country is facing humiliation due to the absurd statement of a BJP spokesperson, Nupur Sharma has insulted Prophet Mohammad, what was the need for it.

Uddhav Thackeray said that BJP is insulting the country at this time. On the one hand, their leader has given an absurd statement about Prophet Mohammed, while on the other hand, BJP is making an issue inside Maharashtra about loudspeakers and other things, which are not needed. Uddhav Thackeray said about Nupur Sharma that what was the need to make such a statement? The whole country is facing humiliation because of BJP spokesperson, Arab countries are weighing heavily on us, due to which we have been forced to apologize.
Uddhav Thackeray said that the stand that BJP takes in this whole matter should not be considered as the stand of the country, because the responsibility of such crime is not of the country but only of BJP. Uddhav Thackeray said that why should the country apologize?
