Jabalpur, 31 May: In the episode of expansion of air services, the day of Jabalpur-Bhopal-Gwalior was historic on Tuesday. New flights were announced on the Vilaspur-Bhopal route with these three cities. Union Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, who reached the city, laid its foundation stone. New flights will be started from June 4 for all the four cities. Due to which not only the facilities of air travelers will increase, but these areas will also develop from tourism and commercial point of view.

Scindia also took stock of the expansion of Dumna Airport in Jabalpur. Jabalpur-Bhopal-Gwalior and Bilaspur-Bhopal-Bilaspur air services were launched in the chief hospitality of Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia. In a program organized by the Airport Authority at Dumna Airport, the said air services were started in Scindia.

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, who was virtually involved in the program, said that this is a revolutionary and historic work in the direction of connectivity. Explaining the need of inter-state connectivity, he asked for maximum air connectivity. At the same time, he said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Modi, work is being done continuously for a glorious India.

Giving information about the expansion of air services on the theme of ‘Ude Desh Ke Aam Nagrik’, he said that earlier Jabalpur was connected to 6 cities, now 10 cities will be connected with 160 flights. There has been an increase of 65 percent air services in Jabalpur in 10 months. Similarly, there is movement of 468 airplanes in Indore. Indore is connected to 20 cities, from only 94 flights in Bhopal earlier to 200 flights today. Similarly Gwalior is also connected with 926 flights. There has been an increase of 70 percent in the air service sector in Madhya Pradesh.

Terminal building and three aerobridges will also be built in Jabalpur soon, which will make Jabalpur modern aviation centre. 412 crore has been invested for the development of Jabalpur Airport. During the program, MP Shri also said that it is a very dignified program in which so many gifts have been received. He also informed about his efforts for the expansion of air services. MP Shri Singh said that air service is not just a means of luxury, it increases economic activities. Progress is also made in the field of education, medicine etc.
