Aadhaar News: The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has issued new guidelines for offline verification organizations. In which the security, privacy etc. of the users were kept in mind. Apart from this, the employees have also been asked to be polite towards the user during offline verification. At present, many organizations do offline Aadhaar verification, which is called OVSE.

UIDAI said that all the verification entities should be polite to the people and assure the people about the security and confidentiality of Aadhaar while doing offline verification. Apart from this, the institutions or legal agencies which are doing offline Aadhaar verification of the people should keep a clear record of the consent of the people. At the same time, UIDAI has allowed OVSE to accept Aadhaar as a proof of identity, instead of in physical or electronic form, through the QR code present on all the four forms of Aadhaar (Aadhaar letter, e-Aadhaar, m-Aadhaar and Aadhaar PVC card). Asked to verify Aadhaar.

UIDAI clarified that if a person refuses or is unable to do offline verification, then he cannot be denied service. Only that person should be able to clarify his identity through other options. If someone’s Aadhaar is verified offline, then the organization that does it should not collect the data of that Aadhaar.
