After the completion of voting for the mid-term elections in the US on Tuesday evening, now the results have started coming.

The Republican Party seems to be leading in this election for all 435 seats in the US House of Representatives and 35 seats in the Senate.

However, his expectations were much higher than that. He wanted to register victory in the big contests of this election. But at the moment this does not seem to be happening.

He has already lost a Senate seat in Pennsylvania. To dominate the Senate, the Republican Party must win at least two seats in Nevada, Arizona and Georgia.

Republican Party to victory in the House of Representatives

Despite the Democratic Party’s victory in some close contests, it looks like the Republican Party will win a majority in the House of Representatives.

The question is just how big is this victory going to be.

The Republican Party, on the back of its astonishingly strong performance in 2020, is just short of a majority.

The Republican Party started these elections with profit. Its reach had increased in some of the new parliamentary seats in the Conservative states.

Whatever the majority, Republicans are bound to be in a position to obstruct the bills brought by the Democratic Party and increase pressure on the Biden administration.

It is a victory in any case.

But if the margin of victory is small, the Republican Party will have to do a lot of work to keep its party united while voting on big resolutions.

Florida re-elected Republican Ron DeSantis

Four years ago, Republican Party leader Ron DeSantis managed to win Florida’s gubernatorial election by a very small margin. He won this election from Democratic Party candidate Andrew Gillum.

During his tenure, he leaned towards controversial issues like transgender rights. He also opposed the lockdown of Kovid and started appearing in Republican Party programs everywhere.

DeSantis has once again won the Florida election. And this time he won by a very good margin. His victory is very special in itself.

In 2018, he lost by 20% of the vote in Miami County, a Democratic Party stronghold.

He is on his way to becoming the first Republican governor to win a Democratic stronghold with a substantial margin.

Before him, Jeb Bush was able to do this in the year 2002. According to the estimates so far, Ron is going to register a victory with a margin of double digits.

DeSantis helped reorient the state in favor of Republican candidates during his tenure, and he has paid off in the results.

This has helped his party win at least two of the five seats needed for a majority in the House of Representatives.

If DeSantis wants to contest the presidential election, these small successes will pave the way for him.

His supporters were also seen shouting ‘two years left’ at DeSantis’s victory procession. Indications meant that if DeSantins tried his luck in the US presidential election, he would have to resign after two years out of his four-year term.

But if DeSantins wants to run for the presidency in 2024, he will first have to pass through his state’s tallest Republican leader and former President Donald Trump.

What these results mean for Trump

Donald Trump may not run for any position in the US mid-term election. But he is still playing a part in this election.

Donald Trump claimed a massive victory for the candidates supporting him from his home in Mar-a-Lago last evening.

However, the truth is not as straightforward as his claims.

The candidates that Donald Trump has chosen instead of the natural Republican alternatives in tightly contested seats have been seen struggling.

Mehmet Oz has lost the Senate race in Pennsylvania. Along with this, Herschel Walker is also seen losing in Georgia.

Black Masters are also trailing in Arizona.

Only in Ohio does the JD Vance seem to be clearly winning. And the margin of their victory is not too much.

After Tuesday night, Republican supporters will evaluate Trump’s political understanding differently.

And if Trump announces next week that he will run for the 2024 presidential election, he will do so with caution.

Disappointment for Democratic Stars

In the year 2018, Beit O’Rourke in the US province of Texas and Stacey Abrams in Georgia lost the election.

But the margin of his defeat was so small that even after losing the election, he won the hearts of the supporters of the Democratic Party.

The way these two leaders added millions of dollars to the campaign fund and created an army of supporters and activists on the ground, they were seen as the future of the party.

Their supporters hoped that when these leaders once again contest elections in their home states next year, they would get success.

But both the leaders could not do this feat.

Abrams had lost to Republican candidate Matt Camp four years earlier by a narrow margin. This time the margin of defeat for Abrams has increased a lot.

With this, the margin by which Rourke lost to the Republican candidate in this election is much greater than the loss to Senator Ted Cruz.

In such a situation, the voters of the Democratic Party will have to find new leaders for themselves.
