In this regard, the officials of the Directorate General of Health were asked to start the recruitment process by preparing complete details of the vacant posts within a month. Along with this, a report has been called from the officials on the sanctioned budget for the Directorate of Health and the slow progress of the works of the National Urban Health Mission. On the demand of the office bearers of IMA, it was decided to bring the proposal regarding exemption in the Clinical Establishment Act in the cabinet.

He said that it is necessary to fill the posts of doctors, paramedical, nursing staff, technical staff and ward boys in all government hospitals under IPHS norms. He expressed his displeasure over the slow progress of the works being carried out under the National Urban Health Mission, especially under this scheme, 115 health and wellness centers are to be built for the urban poor population in the three urban districts of the state, Dehradun, Haridwar and Udham Singh Nagar, which will be constructed. Expressing displeasure over the slow progress of budget expenditure approved for the financial year 2022-23 to the Directorate General of Health, he said that the officers should ensure that the budget is spent on all items on time. The Health Minister said that the Uttarakhand unit of the Indian Medical Association has urged the state government to exempt small hospitals from certain provisions of the Clinical Establishment Act. For which a proposal related to exemption will be prepared and brought to the cabinet soon. In the meeting, the departmental minister instructed the Chief Medical Officers of the four slow-progressing districts to speed up the campaign under the Prime Minister’s TB-free India campaign. Secretary Health Dr. R. Rajesh Kumar, Additional Secretary Arunendra Chauhan, Director Health Dr. Vinita Shah, Director NHM Dr. Saroj Naithani, Additional Director Dr. Mitu Shah and IMA State Secretary Dr. Ajay Khanna and other departmental officers were present in the meeting.
