New Delhi, 08 June. Former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister and senior BJP leader Uma Bharti has now come out in defense of Nupur Sharma, who is facing opposition for her controversial remarks on the Prophet. He has said that the way Nupur is getting threats is not right. Threatening to kill or behead someone is against Islam. Good Muslim leaders should come forward in this matter.

Senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader Uma Bharti called Nupur’s method wrong after her controversial remarks on the Prophet. He said that the Modi government at the Center has moved towards making India a world leader. But the politics of hatred during the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections had a negative impact. Presently protests like Nupur’s case are the result of this. He said that since Prime Minister Modi became the PM, he has created international level solidarity. But it is necessary to overcome the hatred that was spread in the Uttar Pradesh elections.
The senior BJP leader was seen defending Nupur Sharma during an interview with TV channel ABP. He said that Nupur Sharma has been the leader of the student council. Has been the President of Delhi University. Educated scholar is a woman. Courteous and courteous. Courageous and cultured is courageous. Threatening to kill him is wrong. He should be protected. I am very worried about Nupur Sharma. We have pushed him into the midst of a flock of wolves. Everyone should worry about this. The good people of the Muslim community should come forward. If good leaders of Muslim community condemn it and say that placing bounty on head and threatening to kill is against Islam. If that happens then it will be a good start. He further said that now all this should stop placing a reward of one crore on Nupur Sharma’s head and threatening to kill her.

Nupur Sharma had made controversial remarks on Prophet as a BJP spokesperson in a TV debate. On which BJP suspended him from the party for 6 years on 5th June. Before the suspension, BJP General Secretary Arun Singh issued a letter, in which he said that the BJP strongly condemns the insult of any religious person of any religion. The party is strongly against the ideology which insults any sect or religion. BJP does not propagate any such ideology. It was said on behalf of the party that we respect all religions. Later Nupur Sharma also apologized while clarifying her statement.
