CV Anand Bose is a former IAS officer
CV Bose is a 1977 batch retired IAS officer of Kerala cadre. Bose will replace La Ganesan as the governor. He was named the new Governor of West Bengal on 17 November. After which he will take oath at Raj Bhavan on Wednesday. Dr. Bose started his career in the Indian Civil Service in 1977 after obtaining his PhD degree from BITS Pilani.
Dr. Bose held many top positions
Held top positions in several states including Kerala. He was also the secretary to the Chief Minister of Kerala, Karunakaran. Apart from this, Dr. Bose also held responsibilities related to top posts in many departments in the Central Government. After the success of his affordable housing scheme in Kollam district of Kerala, it was implemented in other areas of the state as well. After this plan of his, he started being called an expert in housing matters. Retired in 2011. Prior to this he had served as the administrator of the National Museum in Kolkata.
hobby of writing books
Dr. Bose has written a total of 40 books in different languages. Many of which are bestseller category books. After the appointment of the new governor, he said that he would act as a bridge between the central and state governments. Talking to the media, Dr. Bose told that he has a close relationship with Bengal.
Governor of Manipur was giving additional charge
Earlier, the Governor of West Bengal was Jagdeep Dhankhar. Who is now the Vice President of India. La Ganesan, the Governor of Manipur, was given the additional charge of the Governor of West Bengal after the current Vice President stepped down as the Governor of West Bengal. Whereas now Dr. CV Anand Bose is going to become the new Governor of West Bengal.
Many leaders will be present in the swearing in of the governor
According to a Bengal government official, several prominent leaders and dignitaries including Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Assembly Speaker Biman Bandyopadhyay besides Leader of the Opposition Shubhendu Adhikari have been invited for the Governor’s swearing-in ceremony.
