Vandana Saini, a resident of Bardod, showed bravery and saved the lives of 7 people, including two children, through her sardine in the accident during Ganesh immersion in Jhagdoli canal of Mahendragarh. Many people including former Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje are appreciating her for this bold act of Vandana. 6 people died in the accident, still 3 people are missing.
Accident happened due to heavy flow during immersion
Vandana told that during the immersion of the idol in the canal, people came down to immerse the idol in water. At the same time there was a strong flow of water in the canal. Due to this the people standing in the water started screaming and flowing with the flow. There was an atmosphere of chaos. During this, Vandana showed bravery with the help of her sardine and pulled 7 people including two children out of the water. Not only this, Vandana called the district hospital and immediately called an ambulance. According to Vandana, while rescuing people, there were injuries on her body.
Vandana got married in Mahendragarh
After getting information about the incident, many ministers of the state government, including the district collector, praised Vandana’s courage. Vandana is originally from Bardod near Behror, Rajasthan. Vandana is married in Mahendragarh. She is working as a nurse in a government hospital. His daughter was also with him during the incident.
