Jeff Bezos: Amazon founder Jeff Bezos has been seriously accused by his former houkeeper. The name of the employee who accused Bezos is Mercedes Weda. She joined Bezos’s staff in 2019. Mercedes Weda has filed a complaint in a court in Seattle, Washington. In which she has claimed that when she was a Jeff Bezos employee, she was sometimes made to work for 10 to 14 hours a day. She accused Bezos of racial discrimination, saying that she was not allowed a clean bathroom while at work.
A lawsuit has been filed in the court against Jeff Bezos, CEO of online marketing site Amazon, regarding the matter. In a complaint filed in a court in Seattle, Washington state, Bezos’s former housekeeper, Mercedes Veda, has claimed that Bezos discriminates against his employees. Weda has said that they pressure employees to work long hours after the lunch break. He told the court that when he took over the housekeeping responsibility of Jeff Bezos, he sometimes worked for 14 hours without a break. Bezos also didn’t have a properly accessible bathroom for housekeepers at work. The employee, named Mercedes Weda, joined the workforce in September 2019.
Veda made several claims in her complaint. In which he said that Bezos’s house was not a place for him to rest. The housekeepers sometimes had to eat in the laundry room. Hispanic workers faced racial discrimination because of their race. Weda looked after a team of five to six housekeepers.
Mercedes Weda told the court that she had complained to the authorities about the lack of leave for housekeepers and the problem of unsafe working. Due to which he was removed from the post. Later he was wrongfully dismissed. The reason for this action was given that his displeasure is having a negative effect on the team.

According to the complaint, employees did not have access to a respectable break room or rest area while working at Amazon. Also there was no easily accessible toilet. According to the complaint, the housekeeping staff were forced to eat food in the laundry room. Employees were also forbidden from using the toilet in the nearby security room, forcing them to look out the window to access the bathroom.
