Dehradun, June 05: World Environment Day is being celebrated all over the world today. In India too, programs are being held at different places and people are being made aware of this. Meanwhile, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami planted a sapling in Dehradun on the occasion of World Environment Day.
CM Dhami planted trees and gave the message of environmental awareness to the people. He said that people should be aware of the environment. The environment should not be harmed. Said that we will work for the state to be known as a clean city. At the same time, many programs were organized in Delhi on this occasion.
A program on ‘Save Soil Andolan’
A program on ‘Save Soil Andolan’ was organized at Vigyan Bhawan, Delhi. In which Prime Minister Narendra Modi participated. During this, PM Modi fiercely dated Sadhguru and Isha Foundation. Addressing the people, the PM said that Happy World Environment Day to all of you. Sadhguru and Isha Foundation deserve congratulations today, their organization started the Save the soil movement in March and their journey through 27 countries reached here on the 75th day.
Five important things to tell to save soil
I am satisfied that all the schemes which are going on in the country for the last 8 years have urged for environmental protection in some way or the other. India’s efforts to protect the environment have been multifaceted. India is making this effort when India’s role in climate change is negligible. The PM said that to save the soil, we have focused on five major things, first – how to make the soil chemical free, second – how to save the organisms that live in the soil and third – how to maintain the moisture of the soil, till that time. How to increase the availability of water. Fourth- how to remove the damage that is happening to the soil due to less groundwater and fifth- how to stop the continuous erosion of the soil due to the reduction of the forest cover.
